I am an engineer. I solve problems and construct solutions in any technology or capacity needed. I don't believe that title or experience gives anyone privilege or excuse from doing anything that could help meet the three requirements every engineer strives to achieve: to specification, under budget and on time. I enjoy the variety of tasks that come with this mindset; from learning a new programming language, performing heat load or hydraulic flow calculations, drafting schematics, having your hands covered in oil from debugging a hydraulic circuit or chasing wires in an electrical enclosure. Knowing that I've done these tasks before makes me feel comfortable to direct others. I can identify those that are experts, am able to understand and relate when they have concerns and share my knowledge in a areas that I am more skilled.
Aside from work, I have hobbies and interests that involve tinkering like many engineers. You can Click here to read about that.
